Fully recyclable, dust-free winding core. Used to the same specification by Toray in Japan — an emerging replacement for extruded cores in Europe and Japan.
Overview
SLG Core is a fully recyclable, pollution-free winding core. It generates no dust, simplifies manufacturing compared with conventional extruded cores — cutting cost — and offers improved surface smoothness. Toray of Japan uses cores of the same specification.
Water-separation test (SLG vs. conventional extruded core)
Both cores (ø79 × 10T × 30L) submerged in water and observed over time:
- At 0, 10, and 30 minutes the SLG core progressively separates in water — easy to recycle
- Its clean, eco-friendly composition is drawing new attention in Europe
- In Japan, extruded cores are steadily being replaced by eco-friendly SLG cores
