CORE DATA / Soft Core
Cushion-surface winding core for LCD/TFT optical film. Minimizes transfer-mark loss at the winding start — made from clean, eco-friendly pulp.
Overview
Soft Core is a film-winding core with a cushioned surface layer. It minimizes the loss caused by transfer-mark defects — the deformation where the film’s leading edge overlaps at the start of winding — and is made from clean, environmentally friendly pulp.
What is a transfer-mark defect?
Also called a bobbin or core start mark: the deformed band that appears where the film’s leading edge overlaps itself during the first wraps around the core.
Measured results
- Conventional core: transfer marks over 5–50 m of film, averaging 23 m per 4 rolls
- Soft Core: 2–20 m, averaging 7.8 m per 6 rolls — consistently under 20 m
- Core wall upgraded from 10T to 15T to prevent “galaxy” surface marks
